Here’s a brief summary of foods that little baby likes and dislikes now:- LIKES: Mee Rebus, Ice Cream (peppermint flavour only), Maggi Mee (OMG!), Fish Porridge, Ginko Nuts with barley, anything that comes with soup… DISLIKES: Horlick, Milo, Bee Hoon (thin type), Breads, Soya Bean milk (only recently)… Well, that’s what I can think of now. I hope my little baby won’t grow up as choosy as the Daddy when comes to food though. All foods mentioned above were once my favorite but now I suddenly lost appetitie eating them. This explains why I am losing weight now when I am already in my 12th week.. But well, Dr Chan told me that I mustn’t gain any weight till after week 14th so I guess my weight is much under control now. Right from the beginning when I confirmed my pregnancy till now, I have lost 2.6kg. Good thing? Bad thing? I don’t know. As long as I don’t gain too much weight, I think I am contented enough. BUT! Not having appetite to eat those food that I once loved a lot is a torture to me leh. For my next gynae visit, I am gonna have a blood test, as well as the Triple Test (maybe). I have never got any blood test before. I am scared one lor… Grrrr.. Labels: 1st Trimester Sunday, February 24, 2008 Went for my 3rd scanning this morning with hubby. Waited for an hour at the clinic cause it was so packed! I don’t see other clinics along the corridor in Gleneagles Medical Centre as packed as Dr Chan’s. No doubt he’s really a good gynae. After reading up the forums, I realised there were many good feedbacks of his clinic and the friendly staffs. Kekeke.. Today’s scanning was a fruitful one. We saw the shape of little baby already.. Dr Chan measured the thickness of his/her neck and he/she is normal. Phew~ Passed one test le~. Will be going back to see Dr Chan on 29 March 2008 at 8.50am. We gonna prepare at least 1k for the next visit le cause its time to sign up the package looooo~ Yeap, the package gonna costs up $816 and I will be going to have blood test as well, which is $230! For the sake of little baby, everything is worth it. But frankly, Dr Chan’s charges is really high =X We paid $219 during the 1st and 2nd visit. And today we paid $223 cause he gave me another type of supplements now. Was told that I can stop folic acids already… Labels: 1st Trimester Friday, February 22, 2008 I did not turn up for work today. SMS-ed my superior that I would like to take MC but end up I didn’t even visit the doctor at all. Woke up this morning feeling rather lethargic. I nua-ed on bed for almost 45mins but still couldn’t managed to sit up straight and drag my feet to the bathroom to prepare for work. I am just too tired!! Slept all the way till almost 1pm in the noon. And guess what!? Hubby came back home at about 2.30pm! Of course I was thrilled and can’t wait to give him a big hug. I’d been missing him sooo much lor. Kekeke.. =X I guess little bean in me knows that Daddy is back so he/she made me vomited again in the evening. Grrr… I was all fine for the past few days. I did not even vomit for the whole of yesterday and I felt soooo much better than on normal days when the morning sickness was really bad. Since hubby’s reservist has ended and he need not report to camp anymore.. he’ll be with me this Saturday to see Dr Chan. *phew* I wonder how’s little bean in me? Been feeling some movements inside my tummy now… hmm not the movement of the fetus lar (I think its still quite early) but its the same feeling liked getting hungry but its not hungry - probably just some movements of the fluids or anything inside my stomach. Sometimes I can even hear a loud “groooo”.. keke. Interesting right? Labels: 1st Trimester Tuesday, February 19, 2008 My CNY was just so-so for me. As usual, I don’t have appetite at all for any food and that includes abalone, scallop, prawns etc.. My favorite pineapple tarts don’t taste as nice as before, as well as the bah-kwa. Well, I was back to work on the 初六 and it was really a boring one. I wished I could start work much more later because my bed is now my best friend! My lower back pain is still making me frustrated and I need chicken essence now to make myself feel more energetic. Hubby went for his reservist on Valentines’ Day itself but came home at night. We spent the weekend watching Ah Long Pte Ltd at Marina Sq. The weekend that had just passed was simply a breeze for me. I stopped vomiting since Friday night all the way till Sunday morning. I thought my morning sickness has gone away since Saturday was the 10th week already. Heheeh.. But, it came back ytd. Shucks.. Now that Hubby won’t be back for the next 4-5 days, I’d been talking to that little bean in me. Well, I told him/her that Daddy is away for reservist and I have to take public transport back and fro so he/she better be good and don’t cause me to feel nausea. Indeed I think he/she understand my language. Kekeke.. I felt rather relaxed at work for today. Never once did I visit the toilet to vomit and I only threw up a little when I reached home just now. Will be seeing Dr Chan this Saturday @ 9.30am. How time flies… it has been a month! Hubby’s reservist supposed to end on Saturday but he might be back early. Of course I wish he can be with me on Saturday to see little bean on the screen together Labels: 1st Trimester Tuesday, February 5, 2008 I was feeling much more better on Friday night to the whole of Saturday. I didn’t vomit, not feeling giddy and I still can eat like normal. Being the paranoid me, I thought something must have happened to that little bean in me cause I wasn’t feeling sick. Went to see my GP, she assured that everything is ok. Its not true that if baby ain’t growing, means no morning sickness. LOL... After enjoying 2 days of no morning sickness, it came back to haunt me again last evening. The MOS Burger I had for lunch and the grapes I ate did not get digested. I threw up everything! My dinner.. the delicious hor fun was then later threw up by me after hours later. I’ve got a bad cramping at my lower adomen. Its so much like menstrual pain but I read from the forum that I am supposed to experience such cramp at this stage cause little bean is developing and finding space to accomodate itself. Hahaha.. Now, time for some old wives tales again; I ain’t gonna believe them 100% but then after reading them, I do hope that its gonna come true and happens to me. You’re more likely to be carrying a boy if… you’re blooming in pregnancy you didn’t suffer from morning sickness in your first trimester your right breast is bigger than your left you crave salty food or protein, such as cheese and meat your feet become cold more quickly than before you were pregnant your skin becomes dry your hair has become more full-bodied and shiny during pregnancy you are more prone to headaches you lie on your left side when sleeping your urine is bright yellow You’re more likely to be having a girl if… you’ve missed the “blooming” period altogether you suffered morning sickness during your first twelve weeks your left breast is bigger than your right you crave sweet things, such as juice, fruit and sweets your skin is soft you are more moody than usual your hair has become thinner and dull during pregnancy your urine is dull yellow you lie on your right side when sleeping See those in italic? It all happens to me at this stage now. LOL.. Wonder if its true? Labels: 1st Trimester |
