Well, I've tried the Kodomo Baby Bath for a couple of days & its not those slippery type. Made up my mind to buy Little Bean Kodomo for his baby bath/shampoo. Hehehe..~ Remembered the Baby Safe Latex mattress I'd been talking about? Kids Mall has not received the case in Blue yet and I'd waited for so long... Went to Takashimaya Baby department and see, they have the Blue case but then Takashimaya is not having sales on that brand at all. Meaning, I have to pay the full price of $125 whereas Kids Mall is selling for 100bucks after 20% discount. Duh.. But the clever me called up Kiddy Palace at Lot 1 and they said they have the case in Blue, though only 15% discount. Aha! Its better than nothing right? Afterall, I still save a little bit. Kekeke..July is gonna be a money spending month! Still left with many big items not purchase yet. The GST Offset packge money is not even enough for me to buy a breast pump lor. LOL.. Anyway, Hubby passed his IPPT yesterday (I'm so proud of him) and he will receive his incentives for passing the test. Hahahaha.. All these extra moneys just come in handy at the right time.. but he said he used his life to exchange back one cause he chiong all the way, as he doesn't wanna go to RT if he were to fail. Hahahaa..Grrr.r.. I so regret buying the PIGEON pacifier the other day. I should have see around for other nicer ones before buying cause yesterday I saw the AVENT one is so nice. Its in clear blue, clear white (transparent). Its not as colourful as the PIGEON one that I bought. Sigh.. Labels: Baby Stuffs Friday, June 27, 2008 Been looking & asking around for a good baby bath lately but seems like many mummies around me are using Johnsons & Johnsons which I don't have a good impression of that brand leh. Duh.. Reason being is the slippery feel it has even after cleaning with lotsa water. Its like.. the skin still feels very slippery and I don't like it. Well, some recommended Kodomo which I really like the fragrant but I have no idea whether Kodomo has the same slippery feeling like Johnsons & Johnsons or not. So, this afternoon.. I happened to pass by Watsons and they are selling the travel pack for the Kodomo Baby Bath (natural & mild) fr $1.95. Its quite a big bottle I would say. Am gonna try this baby bath myself later during pom pom time. Hahahaha.. If its not that slippery, then I shall decided to get Kodomo brand for Little Baby. Labels: Baby Stuffs Tuesday, June 24, 2008 Am back from my monthly check up at the gynae there. Waited for almost 2hrs before it our turn. The clinic is full of people and luckily we passed our time by having breakfast at the cafeteria first. The cafeteria at GlenE is really nice and selling lotsa food that I love. There are yong tau foo, ban mian, malay food, chicken rice stall, fishball noodles stalls & even western food, selling pasta! Well, I had a breakfast delight set that comes with ham, hotdog, egg, hashbrown, garlic bread. Sounds really tasty, isn't it? It costs me $3.90 only! Hahaha.. Before breakfast, we actually made our way to the Annex Block and paid for the antenatal class. 200bucks gone again... LOL..Hookay, back to the check up. Baby is weighing 1256 grams now, almost double from the last scan on my 24th week. Hehee.. as for myself, I'd not gained more than 1kg. It's merely a few hundred grams only. Dr Chan ensured me that its pretty okay cause Baby is growing beautifully. LOL..One thing very frustrating is when Baby refused to turn over and let us look at him. I'd been communicating with him, telling him to be in good position when we are at the gynae there, so that Dr Chan can see his face and print out the 3D/4D scan for us but yet, he chose to hide himself... AND even show us his "birdie"... Naughty boy.. Was given 2 bags of goodies bag today by the nurse. Both goodies bag came with different stuffs and I was thrilled to see that Drypers are generous enough to giveaway 10 pcs of diapers! OMG! As for the other bag, it's with Huggies Ultra, 1 bib and some magazines + brochures + milk powder for Mummies. Labels: 3rd Trimester Sunday, June 22, 2008 I'm having another round of birdnest tonight. In fact, I already lost count on the number of times I had bird nest. Duh.. Yippe.. Its weekends again. Will be seeing Dr Chan tomorrow at GlenEagles.. finally!!!! 4 weeks wait is always very long for hubby & me. Will be going over to the Annex Block after my checkup tmr as well, to pay for the antenatal class enrolment fee. After calculating, I realised that each hour of class costs $25!! I'd better make full use of the 2hrs per lesson every time I attend the class manz otherwise sure lugi alot.. LOL..Been thinking a lot lately. I have so much things that I wanna do/eat after I deliver to Little Bean. Hehehe..
Am on half day leave today and met up with Mum just now to go Beauty World Centre and bought some stuffs for Baby. Replenished some cloth diapers, diapers sheet, bottle brush, laundry detergent and clothings for Baby (again~). Seriously I gonna STOP buying clothings for Baby because he has plenty of clothings already. Mum had even cleared 2 chester drawers to put Baby's stuffs inside. Imagine the whole lot of stuffs that Baby has now..?? So, friends.. if you intend to give gifts to my Little Bean, pls refrain from buying any clothings that is for newborn - 6months old. We would prefer receiving any clothings that is above 6months old or MUCH MORE BETTER, it would be in CASH form. Hehehe.. Well, I have 3 more items on my shopping lists now which is of the higher range in price;
Labels: 3rd Trimester Friday, June 20, 2008 Hahaha.. I didn't know that pacifier nowdadays come with different type of teats for babies of different stages/months. Went to the baby department at Taka today again.. was contemplating to decide which pacifier to buy, and which one is cuter. But to my surprise, the pacifier actually comes in different types. There are some for newborn to 5mths+ and, some are 5mth - 8mth.. and so on... Anyway, I bought the newborn one of course. A baby blue one and its from PIGEON (again).. Hehehe.. Now I understand why Beth advised me to change a new pacifier for baby every 3-4months. So, there are reasons behind this. LOL.. Supposed to pick Hubby up at the airport but he called to say that his flight has been delayed for 2hrs so he told me not to pick him up since the arrival time will be almost 12midnight liao.Bohooohoo.. Wanted very much to see the new Terminal 3 but now it seems like I have to wait till another day. Just checked the arrival time on the airport website, the flight supposed to arrive at 1024pm but its not landed yet! Duh.. stupid SQ so lousy 1 meh? Hur.. Poor Bb reached the airport for check in at 3pm this afternoon and he waited like almost 5hrs loitering at the airport before boarding. How I wish I was with him.. but anyway, a good thing is that he'll be home soon! Miss him sooo much.. gonna give him a big bear hug later. LOL.. Its Friday tomorrow. Means I still have Saturday, Sunday to go.. before I go to Dr Chan there for my monthly check up again. I really feel like seeing baby more often thru the screen on the ultrascan. Its a long wait every month, having to see baby for that mere 10minutes. I hope I can go for my bi-monthly check up really soon, afterall I am already in my 3rd trimester. Oh yah, I've got myself the front button pyjamas already. Its in pink! Lalalalaala.. and I bought 2 sets of the identical one cause I really love it very much. Labels: 3rd Trimester Monday, June 16, 2008 Yes Yes, we finally bought the playpen for Baby yesterday at Kids Mall in IMM. Opted for the baby blue one of course, cause Baby is a boy mah. Hehehe.. Anyway, the stuffs are all still kept inside the box. Hubby says he will fix it tonight. I've fully utilised the Capital Mall Voucher that company has given me on Baby now. Stocked up some cotton buds and one more romper for Baby again. Hubby says Baby has so much clothings now, just like the Mom! Anyway, this romper that I'd bought is very cute de. This is the 1st time I see such a cute and unique romper (or maybe I am just sua-ku?) I think its sOoooo convenient when it comes to diaper changing lor. Wanted to buy more but then this is the last piece in blue that they have. Well, I won't push the blame to Hubby for passing me the virus. Afterall, we already quarantine each another by not sleeping together (as advised by the doctor) and he even wore a mask at home. I thought I could proudly says I'd never fall sick during my pregnancy period after my delivery, but this sore throat thingie somehow marks the 1st sickness I encounter during this 6mths+. Grrr.. SoooOOo infuriating. On Tuesday, I was feeling nausea cause of morning sickness, so I took MC. On Wednesday, I woke up feeling throat kinda sore and "hairy" so I was given MC again. Today, I went to work as usual but my mood was definitely not very good especially with the constant repeating of my sentences to those walk-in customers. Had my lunch and popped by Raffles Medical Clinic and see what the doctor says. Guess what?!! I was given 2 days MC, today & tomorrow. Holy shit. Seems like an expectant woman somehow can scare these GPs away during consultation. They DARE NOT give us preggies too much medicines and I was only given lozenges & pills for sore throat. Anyway, I hadn't take the cough syrup which I was given by another doctor yesterday too, cause I am afraid that Little Bean will be drowsy in my tummy. Kekeke.. In fact, I am trying to minimise taking the lozenges too. Apparently, I called up Dr Chan's clinic this morning and told the nurse about my vomiting issues. They wanted me to go down for an "unschedule visits" meaning the visit will not be included inside the maternity package. Somehow or rather, the nurse told me that most prob Dr Chan will give me a jab to stop the vomiting. But of course the charges is gonna be 300bucks at least. :X Hubby is going overseas next Tuesday and only be back on Thursday. His boss wanted him to go for an exhibition together and apparently the trip is gonna takes about 5 days, but Hubby requested to come back after the exhibition. Hence, he won't be staying there for too long. Asked him why he didn't wanna stay long and his answer was like, "no lah.. boring loh." Heheeh, deep down inside me, I knew that he's just worried about me but he's too shy to say it out only. LOL.. Although the feeling wasn't as bad as before (when I was about 3 months preggie) but still vomiting out food that I'd just eaten ain't really too pleasant, isn't it? Labels: 2nd Trimester Monday, June 9, 2008 I bugged Hubby to bring me to Causeway Point this afternoon! Bought the Pigeon Rapid Sterilizer from Kiddy Palace already. Though its the GSS now but since the PIGEON products are having an offer, thus no more further discount lor. Well, we also bought extra pair of milk bottles (PIGEON as well) for stand by and 1 cute bath towel for Little Bean. Hehehe.. Went to Metro and they were having 20% discount! Damn... the milk bottles I bought at Kiddy Palace was discounted for 15% only. But its okay lar.. hahaha.. just 5% difference only. Saw Mothercare in Causeway Point but cause Hubby was hungry, we decided to look for food first. End up, we totally forgotten about Mothercare! Grrr... I only remembered not going to Mothercare after we reached home. Diaoz... But then again, we were already fully loaded with carriers & bags after shopping crazily at Metro (bought more things for Little Bean there). Oh yah, I have also decided to get my electric milk pump from Pigeon as well. Call me "Fans of Pigeon", quick! Hahahaha.. now that we have bought almost everything for Little Bean, except some big items and toiletries. Am awaiting for Little Bean's arrival ~~~ It seems so long being pregnant. LOL.. Labels: Baby Stuffs Wednesday, June 4, 2008 Been buying & buying lots for baby. Stocked up 1 more pair of mittens & booties, as well as a baby bath towel from PIGEON at Takashimaya this afternoon during my lunch. I simply heart PIGEON stuffs sia.. probably because its an old brand and its from Japan too! =D I remembered seeing PIGEON ever since when I was very very young, probably 20years ago when my god-bro was still being baby-sitted by Mummy at my old Bishan house. I was only 5 then! Kekeke.. not only that, PIGEON invented lotsa very funny baby wares now that is so convenient and able to meet every Mummies & babies' needs. Hookay, back to the towel! The baby bath towel is so cute... and it states 100% Cotton & absorbent though it doesn't look like one. Shall get Mummy to wash it first and see how absorbent it is and I will decide to buy more, of different colours! Since its the GSS now, Takashimaya is having 20% on most of the items & I totally forgotten about it. The mittens & booties, together with the baby bath towel costs me only 10bucks in total after discount. Good deal, isn't it? Hahaha.. I'm gonna start buying bits by bits now since its the GSS. Ain't sure when's the next Baby Fair gonna be but heck it, I shall just start buying now till August. No doubt Baby Fair's discounts is as good as the GSS now. Well, I've decided to get Little Bean a playpen. After consulting many Mummies and friends who gave birth before me, they recommended me getting a playpen instead of a baby cot bed, as baby cot bed will eventually becomes a white elephant after some time when baby grows up. Though the bassinet for the playpen may not be able to substain enough weight for baby to sleep in, but Little Bean most probably will be sleeping in 摇篮 after he grows a bit bigger. And the playpen shall comes in handy too, for him to play his toys toys in future when Mummy is busy with housework. Oh yah, speaking of which.. Mummy has decided to take care of Little Bean for me after I deliver. Hehehe.. I shall rest my mind at ease after I finish my maternity leave and Little Bean is gonna be in good hand. Lalalala... Am gonna enrol for the antenatal class at GlenEagles for July intake soon. I am gonna be so busyyyy in July. Will be attending 4 lessons, on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of July from 630pm to 830pm. And on the 12th July, I will have going for the hospital tour & the seminar talk. Knowing that Hubby's work schedule is very tight especially during this peak period, I kinda feel bad asking him to take time offs going with me but I've got no choice! The hospital kept asking if my husband will be joining or not.. I can't possibly say NO right? And I will be so poor thing to go alone lor.. So, I bugged Hubby to pyscho his boss and close 1 eye for the month of July. Hur hur... as for August, needless to say. I shall be waiting for baby to pop out any time when its approaching towards the end of the month although my EDD is in September. Reading from forums, seems like all 1st time Mummy delivers earlier than EDD and the average number of days they deliver in advance is about 10 days. Holy shit.. I am scare de lor.. not of the delivery process but my maternity leave!!! Will be serving 180 days for the company only on the 28th August 2008! If I were to deliver before 28th August 2008, that's it! I won't get my maternity leave le! *prays hard* *Baby Baby, come out after 1st September 2008, OK?* Its 端午节 this Sunday. Will be accompanying Mummy to 三清宫 and pay respect to Grandparents & Daddy. Sigh, I do get a little emotional at times now whenever I am on the bus alone, missing & thinking of my precious Daddy. If only he is still around, he would be able to see his Grandson.. Same goes to my Grandma too. If only Grandma is still around, she would have the chance to see her 5 newly borned great grand-children. Labels: Shopping Monday, June 2, 2008 FINALLY.... Someone gave up his seat to me in the bus last night! Was on my way back home and boarded Bus 700. There weren't any vacant seats around and the bus driver was jerking like shit. Just before the next bus stop came to a stop, a young malay guy gave up his seat to me. *appreciated* and I quickly thanked him. Kekeke..Went shopping with Mum at OG today. I finally bought a pair of sandals from Neckerman.. Been searching high and low for Neckman but seems like most of the department stores in town like Metro, Isetan and Tangs ain't carrying this brand. Tried out a few mternity jeans at OG today but I kinda 不舍得 to get them cause it costs whopping 89bucks without any discount despite the GSS. And I thought I already have 3 pair of bottoms now so I shan't be so spendthrift. However, I still replenished some stocks for baby. Bought half a dozen of handkerchives and disposable panties (for myself to wear during confinement). Hmm... am sure half a dozen ain't gonna be enough, but I shall slowly stock up as time goes by. 3½ months more to go.. and I gonna be a busy Mum. Hehee.. I hope I won't be a blur Mummy as I read up some entries in idobaby.com forum where some Mums are really blur, eg: not heating up the breast milk that was stored in the fridge and straightaway giving to the baby for consumtion. Poor thing.. Well, we are still comtemplating between a baby cot and playpen. Wonder which should we get as baby cot seems kinda useless after baby grows up, whereas playpen can still be used till toddler.. Labels: Shopping |
