Bought a swinging high chair for Baby today at Kiddy Palace. Its a gift from Mummy (Baby's Grandma) and its blue in colour. The high chair can be used from newborn onwards & up to 4yrs old. Intend to put Baby in this swinging chair and cause it comes with 4 wheels, I can easily push the chair to anywhere with him sleeping inside or when there's visitors. Not only that, when Baby grows older the next time, the chair can be adjusted upright and use during feeding times. Somehow its 2-in-1 use and we actually wanted to get this swinging high chair for a long long time already. Hubby's always busy and finally today I bugged him to go Lot 1 with me and carry it back. The Kiddy Palace staff was kind enough to help us carry the bulky box to the basement carpark! Hehehehe... otherwise I think we sure have a problem transporting it from the shop to the carpark cause Lot 1 is so damn crowded today. Hookay, I will post up the pictures when I'm free. Oh yah, we also bought the Kodomo baby bath and shampoo today liao, together with a portable fan from MamaLove. I finally found one that is without the LED. Yippe! Am going for my check up again tmr. How time flies, 1 week has passed! Anyway, my 6th sense tells me that I won't deliver so soon. I reckon I will still see Dr Chan a week later for my 39th week check up!... LOL. Labels: Gift For Baby Saturday, August 30, 2008 My leave has officially started wef today! Slept till 11am just now and the feeling is so shiok lor. Lately I felt rather painful on my fingers when grasping or bending. But I just can't be bothered anyway.. hee. Not only that, I realised my legs are swollen! They look like a pair of pig trotters now. Was chatting with Mummy last night & I lifted up my leg, jokkingly asked her, "my legs never swell right?".. and before I could finish my sentence, I really my legs are swollen!!! I guess its so much of water retention though I don't really drink a lot of water daily. I would say my liquid intake is very minimal. I drank less than 500ml of plain water everyday you know!? Mummy instructed me not to eat too salty as of now onwards to prevent my legs from swelling more. Guess I must control my diet and the food I eat liao. Sigh.. ![]() Went to Guardian Pharmacy a couple of days ago. Was looking at the Cocoa Butter stretch mark cream on the shelf and I asked myself, "should I get it?" since my stretch marks are really getting out of hand (tummy). There's this promoter who saw me browsing the shelf & she started recommending "her" products on another shelf. The brand is RoC and she said the stretch mark oil is made in france and manufactured by Johnsons & Johnsons. Well, I tested it and indeed it smell rather nice but the price ain't too pretty. It costs a whopping 79 bucks for 150ml. *shrugs* Told her I would consider as she rather pushy and I really dislike the way she tried to push her sales. Am still considering whether should I get any cream/lotion/oil for my stretch marks? Any recommendations/suggestions, ladies? As I looked myself in the mirror last night after my bath, I realised my stretch marks are really alot. In fact Dr Chan teased me on every scanning when he mentioned how little weight I am gaining but yet plenty of stretch marks. Oh yah, as of last scanning, I'd gained 5.5kg from my pre-pregnancy weight. Not a lot isn't it? Baby is taking all the neccessary nutrients for himself & I'm glad that he's such a good boy. As what Dr Chan commented, there are mothers who gain a lot of weight during pregnancy but the baby is very small in size. As for me, the weight I am gaining = baby is gaining which is very good. Yippee! I love Baby to bits, and hoping to see him real soon. Hahaha.. Just came back from my spa pedicure. The massage was good.. and I missed it so much! Gonna have a good rest for now & wait for Hubby to come home. Labels: Baby Stuffs, Pregnancy Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Woohooo.. I've just finish packing my bag (not the hospital bag) that I'm bringing to the hospital with my barangs barangs. They includes my marriage certifiate, my digital camera, XD card, DS-Lite game console, toiletries etc.. Has placed my neccessary documents in my daily bring out bag in case I need to be in labour while at work. Anyway 2 more days to go because I've applied for my maternity leave already! This Friday will be my last day at work before my maternity leave starts! Hehehe.. Will be back at work on the 24 November 2008. Am still thinking whether to clear the child care leave together...~ From next week onwards, I'm gonna stay home (if I don't deliver within these few days) and wait for Baby to pop. Hahaha.. Today is a happy day for me! I finally meet the 180th day of employment at work which means I'm entitled for the maternity leaves otherwise I gonna hammer my heart should Baby decides to come out earlier. Mummy has asked the TCM hall auntie to help pack the herbs for showering during my confinement. 1 packet of herbs costs $2.50 and its said to be very good while other Mummies I read from the forum are getting those which is $1.00 per pack. Hmmz.. Labels: Tonics Monday, August 25, 2008 It a long long day for me today. Went for my checkup this morning @ 910am. Waited less than 10minutes and it was my turn. Dr Chan did a scan on my tummy and Baby is now weighing 3069grams, while I gained 0.3kg meaning the weight I'd gained all goes to Baby. Just nice lor! hehehe.. Baby's head is down now but not engaged yet. In fact, his head has went down long time ago, Dr Chan said. The blur blur me thought that Baby is still lying horizontally across my tummy. Hehehe.. My next appointment will bein a week's time which is next Monday. Consulted Dr Chan's opnion whether I should continue working or should I start my leaves now. Well, he suggested me still continue working till the day I deliver because waiting is a very terrible thing. He's afraid that I will 胡思乱想 at home, thinking when is Baby going to pop. Moreover, if I were to continue working, time will pass by faster and I will get to move a lot more. Well, I am actually planning to start my leave on 1st Sept which means this friday will be the last day at work before I go for my maternity leaves. Shall see how thing goes bah~... Right after the check up at Gleneagles, met up with Mum to go 余仁生 at Bukit Panjang Plaza. Went to buy the herbs for my confinements..and spent a bomb there. OMG! Din realised those packets of herbs can cause so much sia. Mum also gotten me a bottle of ginger wine for cooking. Thereafter, we went to the goldsmith shop. Mummy gotten Baby a gold anklet, a very nice one indeed. Its somehow quite different from the "traditional" type cause this anklet is with those stars, teddy bear &bell bell. So cute lor... Hubby fell in love with a white gold ring, thus he got the ring for himself and I bought a pair of white gold earrings. LOL.. 人人都有份。Hehehe.. Headed West Mall after that to get Hubby's iPhone. The way the Singtel people works really sucks to the core. Though we'd made a reservations and the appointment time is set, we ain't given a Q number and we gotta join the super-long-freaking-yet-not-moving Q up to the MOS Burger entrance. Called up Joshua and asked for help and we made our way to Taka instead for the iPhone without Q-ing since Singtel people are always asking a favour from us most of the times when they need to service their phone. Hubby is one happy boy now, cause he got his iPhone and the freaking leather pouch and screen protector costs a whopping 60bucks! Right now he's awaiting for his M1 number to be ported over to this new Singtel line before he can start using the new SIM card on the iPhone. Hiakz.. Labels: Gift For Baby, Gynae Appointment, Shopping Saturday, August 23, 2008 I received a call from an anoymous number this morning. Had a communication breakdown with the fella on the other time. He told me I won a package or something? And ask me to pick it up! I was like, "WTH!?", is it some gimmicks or prank calls like those China people did the last line? I got irritated and almost picked up a quarrel with him! Then he told me, "Someone send a parcel for your baby. I am outside your house now. Can you open the door?" and "ding" I recalled that Power Shirley asked for our house address last week so I kinda suspected she must be the sender. The delivery guy suggested passing the parcel to my neighbour next door so he got the young kid to the phone. Told the kid that I am the neighbour staying next to him and could he please help me sign for the parcel first while I get it from them when I come home. Luckily he was kind & polite enough to say "No problem!". Phew!~ ![]() ![]() The lovely parcel with a bouquet of fresh flowers and a rattle toy for Baby! ![]() After unwrapping the parcel, I realised its an infant carrier! ![]() ![]() This is how the real thing look like.. Hehehe.. The 1st minute I saw the big parcel when I came home just now after receiving from my neighbour. I was stunned! I'd never received such a big parcel in my life before! A big THANK YOU to Power Shirley for her POWER gift. This is the 1st gift that Baby receives! I'm sure he'll like it and this carrier really comes in handy when I need to bring Baby to his Grandma or Great-Grandma place. Seriously, the parcel is too nicely wrapped up and I really 不舍得 to unwrap it. Anyway, Baby will sure like his 1st gift! Hehehe.. Now I realised his stuffs are all blue in colour. In fact, its the same colour tone. *faintz* Labels: Gift For Baby Friday, August 15, 2008 The musical mobile that I bought yesterday at the Baby Fair is faulty! Grrr.. Wasted my effort carrying the stuff and took a bus back home last night but after trying several times with many batteries also has no music playback. Duh.. Hubby came by to meet me for lunch just now and we went to the Baby Fair again to get it exchanged! Holy shit, and its proven to be faulty. So the sales lady has got no choice but to change a new one for me. Anyway now the muscial mobile is in good working condition so one more thing off my chest now. I am "banned" from going to the Baby Fair now (by Mum and Hubby)cause I'd been buying and buying AND buying everyday. The Takashimaya paper bag has flooded my storeroom and they no longer can stand me anymore. LOL.. Saw a couple of nice musical mobile from FisherPrice just now too but then again, they are for baby cot/crib so its not gonna fit playpen at all. Hubby and I wanted to get 1 more musical mobile for Baby to attach on the playpen but yet to find one. Well, maybe KiddyPalace may have what we are looking for? But then again, with my big tummy now, I am too lazy to travel to anywhere. Labels: Shopping Thursday, August 14, 2008 Wooo.. Just came back from the Baby Fair at Taka during my lunch hour. LOL. Bought 1 set of ELLE Poupon pyjamas for baby. I always heart ELLE Poupon materials cause they are so comfy & the cutting/size is not too small for baby. The previous pyjamas set I bought was really good and Mum has full of compliments for it. Thus after "digging" at the fair now, I quickly bought another set for him. Apart from the pyjamas set, also bought a musical mobile (baby Disney) from Tomy brand, a pack of hooded towel that comes with 2 handkerchives and a toy written "As Cool As My Dad" & some titbits. Guess Hubby gonna smile deep inside in his heart when he sees the towel cause the embroidery mentions about him. He's really cute at times.. Gonna fix the musical mobile tonight together with Hubby when he comes home. I hope Baby like his new toy. Hehehe... p/s: sianz.. just received a SMS from hubby that he's not fetching me home from work tonight. Am gonna take bus home! Sobz.. Labels: Baby Stuffs, Shopping Wednesday, August 13, 2008 As the day is approaching nearer & nearer, many friends/relatives & colleagues are asking me if I am excited/scare? Well, my answer is NO as of now. But I really ain't sure what my reaction gonna be on that day itself? Will I cry? Hmm.. and what signs of labour will I experience? Contractions/water bag burst/water bag trickle/spotting? Lotsa question marks (????) inside my head and I am also thinking whether should I start going for my leave on the 28th Aug (the day I meet 180 days of employment) or should I start on the 1st Sept (for easy calculations)? My hospital bag is now readily packed. The neccessary documents and toiletriess are packed in my bag. I can just grab my bag and go when the day is here. Baby has been kicking me really hard lately. Can feel his little feet occasionally when I try to "catch" him as he wriggles. One thing I can be sure is that his head has not engaged yet. I am praying hard everyday and talking to him (whenever I can), telling him that he can only come out after th 27th Aug so that I can get the 12 weeks maternity leave. I hope he hears me. Anyway, Dr Chan already told me that very unlikely I'm gonna deliver in this 2 weeks' time. I think I better don't pressurize myself too myself and let natural takes its course. Very soon, I am gonna be a Mother. OMG!.. Labels: 3rd Trimester Monday, August 11, 2008 Went for my 35th week check up this morning. My apptment time was 9.45am and Dr Chan went out for an emergency C-section but he was back at 10.15am. Well, didn't really get to wait very long this time and I am so glad. Did the usual ultrasound scan. Saw baby swimming inside, doing ballets in the "1 room flat" and occasionally turning his head towards us. Dr Chan managed to capture a picture of his features using the 3D/4D scan. Baby has very sharp nose, tender hairs and small mouth (just like his Dad). Hehehe.. Dr Chan commented that Baby is on the big size but everything is fine. He's very healthy! Baby is now weighing 2666grams and I gained 2.5kg. Will be seeing him in another 2 weeks' time. Hurray!! Anyway he'd advised me to opt for epidural during delivery cause most women can't really stand the pain of contractions. Well, I am fine with epidural if needed but I guess I would wanna give it a try first till the minute when I cannot tahan then I ask for it. Wanted to have my favorite breakfast delight at the cafeteria but the stall is closed! Damn.. so we went for the pre-registration at the admission counter instead. Settled all the admission paper works already. The staffs are really efficient and friendly. Thumbs up for their service... And yes! I finally gotten my watch! Apparently Mummy says she's giving me a gift for expecting baby so I'd went to The Hour Glass to look at the watches for 2 times. Hubby drove me to Taka just now and I bought the watch already! I am delighted lar.. cause I'd been lamenting to get this watch of this brand before I was married. And now that I am gonna be a mum, can you imagine how many years I'd been lamenting for? LOL.. Really thank Mummy for getting me such an expensive watch. I promise to be guai and fillial to her. If financially stabilised in future, maybe 2-3 years down the road, I shall buy one more for her in return. Hehehe.. Labels: 3rd Trimester, Shopping Saturday, August 9, 2008 Happy Birthday Singapore! Its National Day today. How time flies? Last year this time I was still at home watching the NDP alone without Hubby (cause he was at work) and this year, the NDP is here again. Had a sumptuous dinner at Grandma house this evening. My aunties and Grandma hadn't seen me for many months and they wondered how big my tummy is now. Went to the Baby Fair again today before going to Grandma's place. Hahaha.. Yeap for 3 consecutive days I went for the Baby Fair cause I got so much to buy! Today was slightly different cause I dragged Mum and hubby along with me. Bought lotsa stuffs for Baby and costs us a bomb again. The cashier was super duper long Q and hubby did the Q-ing while I still walk around and "throwing" stuffs into the basket for payment. hehe.. A summary of what we bought today;
Total damage: $100.94 =D Labels: Shopping Friday, August 8, 2008 Yeesterday, while walking to Taka from Wisma, I felt some pain while walking & I started to panic.. Could hardly walk straight and gotta hold on to the railings as I walk. Luckily, the "pain" went off after a few minutes and I reckon that's what they call Braxton Hicks? Is it? Eh I also don't know leh. The Taka Baby Fair just started yesterday and of course I decided to pop by during my lunch time to see what good deals I can get. It wasn't quite crowded yesterday so I managed to squeeze near to the PIGEON clothings booth and "dig" some comfy clothings for Baby. The tops/bottoms are going for 3pcs $9.90 only. I mixed 1 short sleeve, 1 long sleeve and a bottom for Baby since he don't have much sleeping wears. Apparently I bought sizes like 12mth - 18mth lor. Heheheh... Been buying too much for newborn already so Mummy always remind me to STOP buying newborn clothings for him. Time passes really fast while shopping. Went back to office with my satisfied purchase. Nonetheless, I went there today again!!! This time, I bought sleeping wears (again!) from Beni Beni. A suit of top and bottom only $8.90 lor.. and its soooo cute can!! I thought the ELLE sleeping wears which I bought the other time was the cutest but today's purchase is on par lor. Its printed with some animals and the cloth is in baby blue. Also bought a chime rattle for him. Its only $3.20 - My 1st toy for baby! I hope he likes it =D Am off from work tomorrow, and I gonna drag Hubby to the baby fair again. The cheeky bon bon nursing pillow is going for $19.90 only whereas I saw it the other time, it was $39.90! Luckily I didn't buy lor.. kekeke.. Lotsa things to buy actually so tomorrow is the best day to go down with hubby though I know the cashier Q is gonna be horrible but who cares! Things to buy tomorrow; (I damn good memory, can remember the price)
Anymore? Hehehe.. Shall see tomorrow. Remember the few tops I posted in my previous posts? I've placed order for baby and currently waiting for the loots to arrive. LOL... So happy with my purchases once again. And of course, I bought them at a bigger size. ![]() This @ 6-12mths since the smaller sizes are already OOS. ![]() And this @ 12-18mth Though I sound a bit silly to buy these at such big sizes but baby outgrown very fast and the cutting from OldNavy and GAP don't seems really "that big", taking an examples of the rompers that I bought the other time. Its more to like newborn sizes, when I actually ordered for 3-6mths. Labels: Shopping Sunday, August 3, 2008 Its a slacking day for me today. Hubby had been playing his playstation for the whole afternoon and I slacked a little by packing my hospital bag and clearing some unwanted stuffs in my study room. Well, my hospital bag is partially ready now except some toiletries not bought yet & also some paper documents not put in yet. Other than that, I would say my bag is now 90% ready. Hubby brought me to the pasar malam just now. I bought my 1st coconut to drink.. People had been saying that preggies must drink coconut during the 3rd trimester and its purpose is to cleanse the toxic in our body, on top of that, Baby will pop out less bloody. Though I don't really like the taste of coconut but for the sake of those "saying", I bought one to try just now. Well, its not that bad afterall and I gotta start taking 2 per week now till the day I deliver. Oh yah, I also bought another set of front button opening pyjamas just now at the pasar malam. Its 6 bucks only and the material is cotton type. Super comfy lor...moreover the bottom is ¾ de. Hahaha.. Good deal good deal. So now I have 3 sets of pyjamas already and I think they should be enough. Labels: 3rd Trimester Saturday, August 2, 2008 Call me "gian peng" or wadeva.. I requested for the Fitti diapers samples on Monday via email and I received them in the letterbox today! They are fast, isn't it? Well, they delivered 2 newborn size and 2 small size to me. Generous lor.. Hehehe, unlike Nepia. They only sent me 1 the other time. LOL.. ![]() Anyway, mummies who are interested to get the samples from Fitti as well, you may email them at admin@dsgs.com.sg stating your address, contact number & the sizes you want.
