Had a quick trip down to Orchard this morning with my cousin Joanne. Grabbed the latest COACH Madison edition bags at Takashimaya. Am so happy and love my new additions!

Rushed back home after our purchases as the weather was tad too hot to stay out there any longer.

Bought these wall decor decals online thru a spree in Singapore Motherhood. Expected arrival date is 2-5weeks later... The decals are from Korea and they are really very cute, aren't they?

Am deciding to transform part of the study room into Jared's play room. The 2 seater sofa set in the study room will be shifted to the living room while the existing sofa set will be disposed off (the town council bangalas are coming at 10am to dispose for me!). Jared's playmat will be arriving some time next week (hopefully!) and I am making space to have Jared's stuffs nicely arranged. I am going to remove the IKEA book shelves & the wall decals will be nicely put up over that area, at the same time those decals are meant to cover up the holes on the wall when we had it drilled.

Jared is 7 weeks today! He's starting to say ang-guuu more and more frequently. After his feeding this morning, I was playing with him and he kept "talking" to me in his baby language. So cute!!

In about a month's time, I will be returning back to work! So sianz lor..

Brought Jared out today.. We went to Takashimaya and it was raining after we left home. Little Jared sat still inside the car with Mummy carrying him in her arms. Overall he behaved quite well today and didn't make a fuss except when his feeding was near.

Its my first time using the Nursery Room inside Takashimaya departmental store. Had his diapers changed and fed him there.. It was quite crowded inside the nursery and the super professional Mummy brought along the changing mat too. Well, apparently I knew the changing mat would definitely be available but out of being fussy, I brought ours along. LOL..

Walked around the baby department store for a while and bought 2 more Medela teats for Jared since we don't seems to have enough to use cause Mummy accidentally scrub the teat too hard and the brush actually went thru the hole of the teat that makes it sort of became bigger. Hehehe.. And we also bought an infant pillow from Playsafe for Jared. It comes with a sweet Winnie The Pooh case..Mummy love it lots!

And since our car was parked at Wisma, we popped by SE to visit the peeps. Some of them whom did not attend Jared's full month hadn't see him before. Immediately I reached centre with Jared, everyone came forward & surround him. I reckon the Q-matic run time gonna jam Q cause of this. Hehehe..

Last but not least, bought a new wristlet from COACH. A new addition to my COACH collection now.. Call me COACH fan! Quick!!! Hahahaha..

Very nice monogram, with shining blings blings. Sadly this monogram only comes in coin purse and wristlet. It would be great if they produce this monogram into handbags!!

Buy! Buy! Buy!

The popular US merchant OldNavy (ON) is having sales! And there'r lotsa very good bargains on their website. Bought Little Jared 1 pair of jeans and 3 tops. The kiasu Mummy bought sizes meant for 6-12month cause Mummy is afraid that Little Jared will outgrown them very soon. Based on past experiences when Mummy bought the bodysuits for Jared from OldNavy & Gap, the 3-6 month seems just nice for him when he's just a newborn. So, Mummy reckon that 6-12month should be fine. Hehehe.. Anyway oversize is better than undersize. At least Jared can still wear them some time later if they'r too big for him. Mummy really love the clothings from OldNavy especially cause they are so comfortable & can't be found in Singapore! It would be great if OldNavy will be available in Singapore just like Gap.

Mummy wished she could buy more but most of them are long sleeve de. That makes Daddy asked Mummy why all buy long sleeve de? LOL... hmmm don't know leh.
Probably Mummy is worried that little Jared will catch a cold & long sleeve tops can be quite useful when we bring Little Jared out. These loots cost about SGD$50 only but its not including international shipping charges yet. Not very expensive, right? Laallalallalla~*

Received the baby shower hamper from Abbot Nutrition just now. The courier man came without calling and I was kinda surprised. Anyway, we'd received a small tin of Similac Step 2 (6months and above), many vouchers to purchase Similac milk powder for baby and mummy, the Similac teddy bear t-shirt, a bottle warmer bag with lotsa teddy bear printing and diaper rash cream from Mustela. I simply heart the bottle warmer bag so much cause its si bei cute de lor... as well as the t-shirt!! But then the size is tad too big for Jared now. Will let him wear it 2-3 years later maybe..

Little Jared is so fortunate and lucky to have us.

1 week ago, I ordered for the LG Prime playmat for him and am still waiting for the loot to arrive from Korea. Well the playmat ain't cheap lor.. Its costs us a whopping 248bucks. I dare not tell hubby the price and I only informed him after I'd paid and confirmed the order. Hahaha.. The playmat gonna arrive during the 1st week of November. Shall wait patiently for it..

Nonetheless, the BabyGap sleepwears I ordered from US are on its way too! 1 of the set I ordered is the Xmas design with snowman.. LOL.. I'm sure Jared gonna look very cute in it cause its all red!! Hehehe.. Last but not least, I also ordered a set of personalised pillow cases for Jared. Mummy wants to make a 臭臭 pillow for him.. so I had the pillow case dimension custom-made with his name embriodered.

We'r gonna attend SIL's baby shower tomorrow. How time flies, Baby Droydon is turning 1mth & I'm glad to say that Jared has promoted to become a korkor looorr... though they are born in the same month! Hahaha.. Anyway, not gonna bring Jared over to SIL's place tmr morning cause its too early and I shall put him under Mummy's care while I enjoy my buffet!

At Jared's 6th week;

He's drinking 100-110ml of breast milk now.
He wakes up every 3hourly SHARP for his milk.
He loves to be carried upright on our shoulder. Hence his head is getting more and more steady. We reckon his head with be steady probably sooner than any babies.
He doesn't like to be carried horizontally like a small baby anymore. Instead, he likes to sit up facing the TV.
He looks around his surroundings when we carry him upright.
He recognised himself in the mirror.
He no longer cries or yell when bathing.
He stays still & dare not move when he's poo poo-ing.
He reacts by turning his head when we call him 展展 or 小展展.
He quiet down when I says, "Mummy 抱抱 Baby, Baby 不要哭哭。。"
When I say, "shhhhh", he knows I want him to stay quiet and stop crying.
He stay still in the car when we bring him out.
He can lift up his legs quite high now and kick real hard.
He plays on his own after every night feedings and slowly doze off to dreamland after we off the lights.

Since don't know when.. Jared learnt to look at the camera and posed for me. He's so cute and always brightening up my day despite having sleepless nights for attending to him.

Anyway, the people from Hua Xia called me this morning & told me that the photo I submitted for making the cord stamp cannot be accepted cause the resolution is not clear enough as I'd taken that particular photo with my handphone camera. Duhs! You know its really difficult to make Jared smile when taking his photographs.

So, this morning after I received the call, I took several photos of him again using my digital camera with the flash light turned on. Of course I did not take a lot cause people has been telling me that we shouldn't turn on the flash and take pictures at babies when they are still very young.

Apparently, I chose this photo for the cord stamp but was rejected.

On 18th October, we brought Jared to IMM for some shopping. Its our 1st time bringing him out with the pram and at first we were really afraid that he will yell or scream if we don't carry him. But surprisingly, he seems to enjoy lying in his pram and looking at the surroundings as we push him along. Spent an hour at Kids Mall and bought him a new set of sleepsuit and some toys. Yeap, I got 2 dozen of colour links for him and a pair of wrist rattles for his brain development. The 2 wrist rattles that we bought are really cute, 1 is a plane & the other is a train. Ever since we bought the rattles, I immediately had 1 attached to his wrist & he seems to be loving it. On alternate days, I will put the rattle on his feet. He looks so cute wearing those rattle and his expressions was undescribable.

We had our dinner at BaliThai and went back home after that.

And on the 19th October, we were supposed to have our high tea buffet at Peony Jade but the stupid lady who took my reservation told me that they only allow minimum of 4 pax to dine. So end up, I cancelled the reservation and we stayed home in the afternoon till evening time since my aunts & cousins are visiting us to deliver the wedding card for my cousin's wedding on the 2nd Nov. Its the 1st time my aunts see Little Jared & they said Jared looks like a baby girl, all thanks to his fair skin & nice eyebrow. Hehehe..

We had dinner at HomeTeam NS @Bukit Batok. Ordered the set dinner for 3 pax and each of us was served a big bowl of sharks fin which was already filling enough. Little Jared was kinda startled by the loud music that was played in the restaurant when the waitresses were rehearsing for a wedding dinner. Other than that, he behaved well again lying inside his pram while we had our yummilicious dinner. My this little boy has grown up a lot.. and he's in his 6th weeks today! We weighed him last night and he's now 4.97kg!! Hehehe.. Almost as heavy as a 5kg rice, Mummy said. LOL..

At times.. I really thinks that Jared looks like a girl..? Heeheheh...

And when he frowns.. he still looks so cute!

I'd been taking lotsa pictures for Jared lately. Hahaha.. We had yet to send his photo to the Hua Xia staff for making his seal. So, I'd been trying my luck to capture nice expressions of Jared lately so that I can submit to them soon. As you people should realise that my dear son doesn't really like to smile. In fact, I think he's a 犹豫男孩 cause he always seems to have a lot of 心事 as I often caught him deep in thoughts, while at times he looks so innocent. LOL..

For the past 2 days, I'd wanted to bring him out but the weather wasn't too good. It has been raining in the afternoon, today also lor! Sigh..

The slide you guys gonna watch below is taken using my digital camera. I took more than 50pics in 15mins' time of Jared but most of them turns out blurrish due to;

He kept moving his hands & legs, shake here and there
My hands are not steady enough
I did not turn on the flash light

I still prefer taking pics of him using my handphone cause its more clear & it can capture his expressions most of the time. But for resolution wise, of course a digital camera can do better. Is it time to buy a new camera? hehehe..

Tried putting on the Pooh bear cap for him. He looks so cute lor!! Apparently the caps that I bought for him from Kiddy Palace the other time don't fit him anymore! Luckily the baby gift set that Joanna bought has this Pooh bear cap and it fits him snugly.

Ever since I delivered Jared, he brought us so much joy and he's still bringing us a lot more! My Mum has been cuddling him and sayang-ing him whenever she sees him. Ever for that merely 30mins when she goes to the market, the 1st thing she does when she comes home is to look at Jared and touch him. LOL..And there's something that she kept saying now; "我们家有个展展好可爱哦!!" hahaha...~

Little Jared has a new pram! Brought Jared to the Baby Hyperstore & Baby Kingdom at Kaki Bukit this afternoon. Our main motive was to get a baby pram for him. Hehehe..

Our 1st stop; we went to Baby Hyperstore first. The place was a little too cramp and packed with quite a lot of customers. Hubby wanted to look at the Combi designs but sadly Hyperstore don't carry Combi. Most of their brands are Mclaren and Lucky Baby. Though we didn't managed to get anything from our 1st stop, but an interesting milk bottle caught my attention. Written on the big commercial board; "No burping, No wind, No vomit of milk. You will see the difference & your baby will feel it". Some mummies were looking at these interesting bottles as well. Out of curiosity, I browsed with them, indeed the design of the bottle is interesting enough so I decided to buy 2 of them - a 5oz and a 9oz. The price of bottles ain't really cheap too. The 5oz costs $18.90 & the 90z is $20.90.

This is how the bottle looks like. It comes with a tube inside the bottle and the purple colour portion that you see actually works as a heat censor too.

If I remember correctly, I think I did saw this Bfree Plus bottles at Kiddy Palace before. Anyway, shall let Jared try this "wonderful" bottle & see if they are really that good.

Our 2nd stop; went to Baby Kingdom. Saw a couple of nice prams there.. a Combi one and a Capella one. Both has the same price tag but the Combi one looks smaller & less spacious as compared to the Capella one. From the 1st look, we knew that Capella is the one we wanna get. Most importantly, the pram can be open and close using just 1 hand.

This looks like the 1 that we bought.. though not exactly similar. Capella is a product from Korea hence the website is in Korean. Can't really understand what's written. The one we bought has a full canopy.

While the staff is preparing our pram, we went up to the 2nd level for some shopping. Replenished some wet wipes, bought a Pigeon warmer bag to keep the milk, 2 pairs of mini socks, Pigeon liquid cleanser for bottle nipple & vegetable (700ml) & the refill twin-pack (700ml each).

This is the Pigeon bottle nipple & vegetable detergent that I heart. Its so fragrant and smell nice. Most importantly, it contains edible contents so fret not if we accidentally didn't wash the bottles clean enough.

Little Jared is a Mighty Savers!! Woohohoo..

Yippe, finally open the savings account for Jared under OCBC Bank. Popped by the OCBC branch this morning after Jared's feed. Q-ed & waited at the bank for almost 1½ hr to get everything done. I was quite pek cek but for the sake of baby, I waited..otherwise I definitely flare up.

Little Jared has signed up as a Mighty Savers with OCBC. Received a Mighty Savers wristband and fun bag for signing up as the amount deposited was above $1k. The fun bag gonna comes in handy for Mummy to store Jared's barangs barangs when going out like wet wipes, diaper, pacifier etc... LOL..

Mummy's gonna help Jared save! As the saying, "its never too early to save!". I want Jared to be like me, start saving since young! Hehehe. =D

Anyway I find the Mighty Savers programme rather interesting. For every $1 saved, Jared can paste a small sticker on the sticker card. After completing 20 stickers, he will be given an encouragement gift by the bank. Though Jared is still young and doesn't know how to do it, but to complete a card is chicken feet to Mummy. I shall make it a point to complete 1 card for Jared per week.. =)

Brought Jared to Bt Panjang Plaza today to get the vaccum flask for storing hot water. Well, the flask will comes in handy when we need to make FM for him if we bring him out. As usual, Jared fell asleep upon reaching Plaza and he woke up while we were on our way back.

Apparently, some mummies commented that Mamex is kinda sweet so I bought a small tin of Similac Stage 1 for to Jared try. Hopefully he likes the new changes and if he's fine with Similac, I shall stick to it for now and future already.

Jared wore his new clothings to Plaza today. It's a gift from Hanseng & TingTing..which we received during the full month celebration. Jared looks very cute in his new suit but he's always frowning or 皱起眉头 when we take pictures of him.. Mummy says Jared looks better in person than in photos which I fully agree.

"Daddy & Mummy wants to buy me a pram on Sunday..yippee!!", says Jared.

Little Jared turns 1 month old *muackz*

When Jared is one month;

He spits out his pacifier when he had enough of it (sucking)
He brushes away the pacifier when he doesn't want it
He shakes his head when he wants to reject something. Eg: milk, pacifier, plain water
He loves to stand on his feet when bathing though he's not stable at all
He knows when to clench and unclench his fist (when wearing mittens)
He turns his head to left & right automatically when washing his hair (super co-operative!!)
He "paddles" when he cries
He focus his eyes at bright lightings
He put his hands (with mittens on) in his mouth when he's hungry
He chuckles when Mummy sings him lullaby
He smiles when we say ang-gu-gu
He loves massaging, especially on his little feet
He knows how to "fake cry" and seek attention from us

Dear baby, please continue to grow & behave well. Everybody loves you..

Based on lunar calendar, Jared turns 1 month old today. As per the old people's belif, we have to bring the baby out today so that he/she won't "recognise people" (认人) & be guai guai. Hence, Mummy and I brought Jared to Lot 1!!

As hubby needs to work, so we took LRT there & hailed a cab when coming back. Jared looks rather timid when we brought him out. He stayed still when we carried him on the LRT train but fell asleep when we reached Lot 1. Mummy & I took turns to carry the 4kg baby and we went to Kiddy Palace. Bought some neccessities & also stock up diapers for Jared at the NTUC. Pampers is supposed to be the most expensive brand among all but NTUC was having promotion, 2 packs (58pcs in 1 pack) going for $39.95 only and after calculating, per piece is even cheaper than MamyPoko. So, I grabbed 2 packs of Pampers.

Jared woke up when we were in the cabbie. He started wailing while inside the cab and his full blasted cries sort of shocked the cab driver. LOL.. Luckily I brought along his pacifier. Hahaha..

Received the letter from MCYS already, part of the baby bonus money has been credited to my UOB account. And hubby has received the letter for medishield to cover for Jared too. Still considering between OCBC's Mighty Savers Account & Maybank Youngstarz Club for Jared. After reading the forum, realised that more mummies chose OCBC. Apparently Standard Chartered was one of my choice too since we chose it for the CDA acct but then .. its a trust account and no passbook available.

Hmm.. this is the con that makes me not choosing Standard Chartered e$avers Kids Acct. Dilemma dilemma.. am in a dilemma. Bt Panjang has OCBC bank and CCK has Maybank.. both are equally convenient but hubby don't seems to like Maybank though I think the Youngstarz Club looks kinda cute. How sia?
