Event: Jared's full month celebration Venue: Home @ Jelapang Road Date: 05 October 2008 (Sunday) Time: 12 noon to 5pm Attendees: About 80 pax Comments: Quantity of food not a lot. The sweet & sour fish, bee hoon & curry chicken was nice. Had an advanced full month celebration for Jared yesterday. Cut his nails early in the morning before I left home to collect the cakes from Choz at Toh Yi Drive. Drove down to Bedok & paid respect to Grandma & Daddy, everything was planned and chop chop! Came home @ about 11am+ and Jared had his first hair cut. We bought a brand new scissors and I cut a few strands of his hair to place inside a red packet. The buffet catering set up was done by 1215pm (much more earlier than expected) and people starts flowing in at 1pm. The food don't seems to be enough cause some had 3 or 4 rounds of helping. It got me freaked out and I end up ordering KFC for thos who came late. I didn't get to taste the food AT ALL as the "old people" around kept saying that my confinement should only end on the 40th day and I mustn't touch any "normal food". All I could do was, WATCH and ASK! "Is the food nice???", "Is the curry chicken spicy?", "How's the bee hoon?"... Busy attending to my friends, colleagues, ex-colleagues & relatives for the whole day. On the other hand, gotta attend to Baby at the same time whenever he starts making noise but overall he's quite co-operative today by not being too cranky. He dozed off to sleep as soon as he finishes his feeding & wake up only when its time for milk milk. Many has praised how handsome he is, nonetheless how he resembles his Dad. Duhz..!! Due to space constraint (cause my house is so damn small), some of the guests actually ended up eating along the corridor, all the way to the lift area. Felt so guilty & bad but luckily Hubby helped to entertain them (in fact I thought he went MIA).   The gold bangle on his right hand was bought by me to Baby as a gift. And the bracelet on his left hand was bought by James, together with a Tom & Jerry pendant (not in the picture). Mummy bought him an anklet too. Well, didn't take much photo today cause most of the time Baby is sleeping. Anyway, thanks to all who came with big ang baos and gift .. On behalf of Jared, Mummy thank everybody who attended the party. Kekeke..  The one and only shot I took with Baby. He kept moving thus the blurness of the photo.    Pressies received: Gold anklet from Grandma (my Mum), Gold bangle from me, Gold pendant and bracelet from James. Carry Rocker from Shirley, Baby hamper from company, Walker cum Rocker from Geraldine & bf & CK, Jumper suit from Diana, Fisherprice toy from Hubby's boss together with a big ang bao ($500), Baby gift set from Hanseng & Ting Ting, Baby's first year photo frame from Banseng, Jumper suit from Nick (Hubby's colleague), Pooh bear soft toy from Leslie & Liyi, Classic Pooh's Baby gift set from Joanne, Rattle toy set from Beth & 2 sets of baby clothings (super duper cute ones!!) from UNKNOWN ->> Yeap, unknown cause someone just left the paper bag in the room & Hubby couldn't recall who left it there already. LOL.. Ang Baos received: From many. (Thanks to all...) Now that the full month celebration has ended doesn't mean I can eat anything I like and bath like nobody business. I am still "forced" to comply to certain stupid rules till further notice. OMG! When's my jail term gonna end? I miss drinking cold drinks and ice cream.. sigh. The Hua Xia staff is coming by to show me the samples of the umbilical cord stamp and hairbrush later in the afternoon. Am thinking to make a set for Baby since I was given a $38 discount voucher from the goodies bag.. heheh~ Labels: Jared |
