Mummy and Daddy brought my Ocean Wonders Aquarium for an exchange today! Despite buying from Vivo City yesterday but the kind jie jie at Jurong Point agreed to let Mumy do an exchange with no not many questions asked! Happy or sad? Hehehe.. I'm happy of course, because Mummy took 1 away and brought 2 back! Yippee!

Here's my new butterfly playgym.
Mummy and Daddy thinks this is "safer" for me and the butterflies are so colourful. Compared to the aquarium I played last night, this is better cause it plays 8 music but the aquarium played 1 pathetic music which last less than 10 sec only. Hehehe.. And this butterfly playgym is so much spacious and wider. I hit my hands no more!

As this butterfly playgym is cheaper than the aquarium I had, so Mummy chose another toy toy for me to match the total price.

Tadaaahhh! This is the one. Its a stacko rattles that has different numbers & shapes. Mummy says I can only start playing this when I can sit up straight. They make squeaky sounds too =)

We brought Jared out today! Went to Vivo City but before that, we headed to the Mothercare at Habourfront Ctr first cause I'd reserved a Happy Safari Musical TV. Apparently I saw the last defective piece at KKH the other day when I went down to collect the cord stamp. Vivo outlet has no stock but they made it a point to reserve for me at Habourfront Ctr instead. Hehehe.. As Jared was kinda tired that he slept thru the afternoon so we ended up reaching Habourfront at 7.30pm.

We bought Jared a musical rattle by Vtec that sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars & the Musical TV. I've come across a bulk purchase on Singapore Motherhood selling the musical rattle & its cheaper but after considering the postage, handling charges & waiting time, we would rather get it at Mothercare instead. Moreover, I've got 2 Mothercare vouchers for 15% discount! Hiak hiak..

After shopping at Habourfront Ctr, we went to Toys'rus at Vivo. Hubby wanted to get Jared a musical playgym so we bought the Fisherprice Kick & Crawl Aquarium (WRONG CHOICE!) Its supposed to be a 3-in-1 playgym for baby and we thought that the colours were vibrant enough so we bought it.

UNFORTUNATELY, Jared hurt himself after playing it. Nabeiz! I am very angry & fed up now. As Jared was too excited & happy when he saw the hanging mobile on the playgym so both of his hands kept knocking against the sides (see picture below. I've circled the area where Jared hit his hands).

We did realised that his hands had been hitting the sides but I thought they aren't gonna hurt him really much cause afterall its a baby toy and the material should be quite "up to standard" one. But, after playing for merely 20mins or so, he suddenly cried! I quickly carried him up & saw that his hands were red. Not only that, they felt warm too. I reckon the warm sensation must have been caused by the pain when he hit his hands. I am so so so so so angry lor.. and I never expect that Fishprice toy can cause harm to an infant. As I inspect Jared's hands carefully, there were dozen of lines (red) appearing as if he'd been caned. I felt so heart pain for him and so guilty for buying that "dangerous" toy for him. KNN..

I am going to do an exchange or refund tomorrow at Toys'rus!! Mummies, pls don't be blur blur like me and buy a toy for your baby just because it looks nice and interesting. Do consider whether are they dangerous or not.

After waiting for so damnnnnNnn longgg..~ finally the people from HuaXia Taimaobi called yesterday afternoon to inform that the umbilical cord stamp is ready for collection. Agitated Mummy kept bugging the staffs by sending several emails & making calls to hurry them cause they promised it will be ready in 5weeks' time! Look, Mummy is returning to work next week le.. the cord stamp ought to be ready by now bah!

Anyway, Mummy & Daddy collected the cord stamp at KKH just now! WooOooohoo..

And the postman uncle came this morning to deliver the clothings that Mummy bought for me from OldNavy. They were shipped all the way from US to Singapore.. Yippeee!!

The other day I finally managed to squeeze out some time to tidy up the room and removed my faulty desktop computer. And I cleaned the playmat which I'd bought for Jared at the same time. Luckily he'd been enjoying his playtime in his new bumper mat! Otherwise grandma's $248 gonna go down the drain. Hehehe.. I reckon Jared loves the beautiful vibrant cartoon characters cause he can't take his eyes off them when I put him down. Nevertheless, the Winnie The Pooh wall decals also attracts him a lot ..

Yesterday we brought him to my grandma (Jared's great grandma) place. As the weather was very cooling so he fell asleep not long after we reached. My cousins hadn't got the chance to play much with Jared cause he's so sound asleep! Waited for him to wake up till almost 7pm before we rushed home and get ready cause Hubby & I are going to Beth's house for her house warming party. I get to see many of my colleagues & superior over there. They told me how much they'd been missing me and waiting for me to go back and clear their bad logs. Baddie them! And this year, as usual there gonna have a Xmas pressie exchange session. I hadn't get to draw the lots to see which pressie I am giving to. Hopefully, not to someone I dislike bah!~ hahaha..

Hubby & I came home after an hour plus cause I was missing my naughty boy sooo much despite its just walking distance from Beth's place. Joshua & his wife came over to see Jared after the house warming party. Little Jared was so well-behaved when he saw his Godpa and Godma.. Since Joshua gonna be a father soon, so Mummy passed Jared to his arm as a practice. Jared was thrilled to be carried by his Godpa and he kept looking at him and "talking" to him using his baby language. So cute! Blur Mummy forgot to take a picture of them! Anyway, they left at almost midnight and Little Jared went back to his dreamland again.

Mummies, if you are interested in buying Pigeon Wide-Neck bottles 300ml, please let me know ya. I have 1 twin pack for sale and its brand new! Apparently we are now using the 200ml bottle for Jared that comes with the steam sterilizer but he does not like the Pigeon teats so this Twin Pack is somehow useless & extra to us. Other than that, I am also helping my cousin to sell away her digital camera. The model is Olympus U-mini in Enamel Black. It comes with a 16mb & 256mb XD-picture card by default and its resolution is 5mega pixels. She's throwing in an extra battery and a 1gb XD-card at the same time. The box is still intact and its very well-maintained. I am using this model as well and I really like its sleek design, so handy and cute! Its highly recommended!! Went out for a short while to JP and meet Teresa. Nat Nat is feeding on Friso now thus he don't need the Similac Follow-on milk powder for 6mths and above so Nat Nat decided to give the milk powder to Jared Didi. Hehehe..

After collecting the milk powder from Teresa, I went to Toys'rus and Kiddy Palace to shop around. The Toys'rus at JP is so messy and I simply don't know where to start so I left not long after and went to Kiddy Palace instead.

Kiasu Mummy bought Little Jared the Pigeon MagMag today! Hehehe.. Been eyeing on the MagMag before I gave birth to Jared cause its so cute lor.. Moreover, I bought the All-in-one set which is really a good deal. Mummy also bought 3 new set of sleepsuits for Little Jared cause he'd outgrown most of his newborn clothings and it looks kinda tight fit for him now. Hahaha..

It saves me the trouble of changing the teats as Jared grows older. Apparently I wanted to get the Nuby non-spilled training cup but there was a little defective on the rubber handle so didn't get it in the end. So wasted! Been searching high & low for it at the Lot One Kiddy Palace but they only left with the pink one. Now that I've found it at JP's Kiddy Palace but its scratched!.. Grrr..>.<~ Toys'rus is having Xmas sales and I'd been surfing their webbie everyday. I've set my eyes set on some cute little stuffs to buy for Little Jared but then I think he's still too young. LOL..

Ever since the day we brought Jared for his vaccinations, he hadn't been feelin' too good as in he don't seems quite happy! He cried for the most minor things and he kept showing his grumpy face as if the whole world had bullied him. In short, HE IS FEELIN' MOODY! Not only that, I realised his thingh area (where the jab went in) was swollen & there's a hot sensation too. He cried out loud when I accidentally pressed on his thigh the other day. I felt so guilty about it and I applied warm water with cotton wool to soothe that area whenever he's having his feed. Finally yesterday the swell is no longer there and he's feelin' much more better now. He is still as talkative as ever, although we really don't understand what he's trying to tell us but we just repeat whatever he says... and the conversation goes on & on.. till Mummy is tired! LOL..

And he is now drinking 120ml - 125ml and feeding every 4hrs during the day and sometimes 5-6hrs in the middle of the night. We tried giving him 130ml but he can't finish and will stop on his own. Anyway after calculating his weight, he's supposed to feed on 120ml now so neither he's being under-fed or over-fed... I don't want an ovber-weight baby you see~..

Anyone watched the 10pm news just now on Channel 8? There's a Mummy who bought his son a set of Around We Go! Activity Center by Bright Starts™.

It's so cute lor.. and I quickly did a google search. The Around We Go! Activity Center is available on rent at $51 per month but retail price is $336. Woooooo.. I really feel like getting one for Jared but the price is really steep. And I reckon its gonna become a white elephant sooner or later when Jared outgrown it. But, I still feel like owning one.. =) Probably I can get this cute little thing for Jared as an advanced Xmas gift and he'll be able to start using it when he turns 4mth old in January. Hehehehe.. Ok, shall see how it goes.

Went to see the chinese physician @ Eu Yan Sang TCM Clinic this afternoon for my wrist. Waited for more than an hour at the clinic cause some inconsiderate babarians were taking their own sweet time there "chit-chatting" with the physician and making a fuss. In fact, I took only 10mins! After I'm done with my consultations, those babarians were still hanging around inside the clinic with big & small bags of food, munching like nobody's business. Well, back to my wrist matter. The physician did not say much but she said the pain on my wrist area could be due to carrying Jared and i must have strained the veins inside. She applied some chinese herbs medicine and wrapped up my wrist. I would need to go for acupuncture if its doesn't gets better. Anyway, thanks to Mummy Jocelyn for your recommendations but I have not go and see the physician you intro. Shall see how things go for the next couple of days.. No matter what, I will definitely get it treated before I return back to work, hopefully.

2 more weeks! I will be back to work in 2 weeks' time. Dread going back in fact cause I gonna miss the time playing with Jared. Times really pass by very very very quickly when you'r on leave. Nbz.. How I wish we are being paid 6mths for ML! Yaya, fat hope I know!

Received the wall decals last night. I was so excited and decided to put them up today after cleaning the walls to make sure its not dirty/dusty.

~~This is part of it only.~~ I bought 3 pcs for 3 different walls.. ~~Has tried out this on 1 of the walls first and~~ This decal is the most difficult piece to put up cause the characters are altogether as 1 whole piece. So, I got Mum to help me hold on to one side and slowly stick it on. Nevertheless, I self-created the positions of the decals, eg: butterfly, clouds, Sun etc..~ Nice bo? Hehehe.. I hope I do a good job ya. =O)

Am done with the other 2 walls already. Phew~!! Got the wrong measurement for the grass patch so I divided them apart and paste the flower in between to make it look less awkward. LOL.. Anyway, I think I like the previous 1 better cause the wall is smaller and the space used up is just nice. Now, that's 1 more factor to consider is when Jared gets older and we decided to get him a bed, what shall I do with the decals? Gotta remove them re-paste again? Seh liao lor.. but them hopefully I would be able to get Jared a low low bed that is about 5 inches tall from ground only.

Diapers nowadays not cheap lor and Jared changes about 9 diapers in average per day.

We brought Jared for his 1st dose of 6-in-1 vaccine & Rota Teq. He weighs 5.5kg now and measuring 60cm long. Head circumference? I forgot le.. must refer to the Health Book but I'm lazy lar.. Little Jared was very brave and he only made some noise for about 5 seconds, and he didn't cry out loud at all. We are so proud of him.. Hehehe. Will be bringing him back for the 2nd dose and 3rd dose during his 4th and 6th month respectively, as well as the Rota Teq. We'r still considering to administer Jared for the Pneumococcal (also known as Prevenar) vaccine when he turns 3month old. According to the doctor, 6-in-1 vaccine & Rota Teq will be administerd during the 2nd, 4th & 6th month whereas the Pneumococcal vaccine will be on the 3rd, 5th and 8th/9th month. After studying the schedule that the doctor gave me, I realised that Jared has to go for injections every month! Poor baby.. but its all for his own good ya.

I've calculated the total costs of the vaccines that a baby ought to administer for the first 2 years of age. Its about $1.4k~ OMG! Its really expensive to have a baby! But then, whenever I thought of the wonderful times that Jared brought us, I am so much willing to spend for him as long as he's well and healthy!

We replenished Jared's diapers again! 2 weeks ago, I just bought 2 packs of Pampers @ NTUC Fairprice for $39.95 and they are finishing soon again! Oh dear.. So just now we went to Shop & Save to buy Huggies for Jared. We were just trying our luck at Shop & Save to see if they have anymore Huggies cause out of 10 times I go there, 10 times also no stock for S size unless I go to Bt Panjang Plaza de NTUC. Anyway we were lucky cause there were 2 packs left on the shelf so we grabbed them and go. After trying out so many brands for these 2 months, somehow or rather I think all the diapers are the same! Even the price per piece is about the same too.. But since Huggies is clinically proven that babies won't get diaper rash so we don't mind getting Huggies. Pampers used to be the more expensive brand but if NTUC has any offer on Pampers, I won't hestitate to replenish more. Hehehe.. Apparently I wanted to buy Drypers for Jared cause Drypers is the cheapest of all! Per piece is about 20 cents only.. but then I really hate the tape so we dropped the idea of getting Drypers. Maybe we will consider buying Drypantz when Jared gets older.. =)

Jared is 2 months old today! Happy 2 month to my precious boy! Heehe..

I've made an apptment to bring Jared for his 6-in-1 vaccination on Wednesday morning. Hopefully his threshold for pain is alright and prays that he won't cry too long & gets cranky! Now that Jared is already 2months old, it means that I will be returning to work very soon! "SIAN" is the word but getting to work and being employed is a blessing cause we have income coming in to buy Jared many nice stuffs and CPF is slowing accumulating & we need not get worried after we retired. Moreover, government is giving 16 weeks paid maternity leave now. If don't work, sure lugi like siao. Hahahaa..

Off topic a bit is that.. I'm so angry with Hubby! His friend who owed him 500bucks supposed to return him the money last month end but then the friend stood him up again till today then said he'll pay back only this month end. I wonder will Hubby get back the money or not? He and his stupid habit for lending a helping hand all the time! Sometimes it really doesn't pay to be too nice afterall..

Am blogging this since Little Jared is still in his dreamland. This boy of mine is getting naughtier and naughtier each day. He's always kicking very hard when crying for milk.. I always got punched by him! Grr... >.<>

Now he knows how to lift up his butt when we are changing his diapers for him.
He's growing longer everyday and very soon he's gonna outgrown the musical cradle we bought for him. No choice we gotta keep it in the storeroom soon and only bring it out when he starts to wean.
His fist is now his favorite "drumstick" and he begins to suck his thumb now.

The LG playmat I've ordered will be arriving our doorstep tomorrow morning.. so happy & excited cause I've heard many good comments from the mummies thru the Singapore Motherhood forum. And yes, the wall decals from Korea has also arrived. Hopefully I'll be able to receive them this coming week so that I can do up Jared's playroom.

Last but not least, I have something to share with the mummies out there in case you ladies do not know about this yet; In order to calm a crying baby down, try switching your TV channel to a channel that show the black & white distorted screen with the "sa sa" sound.. The "sa sa" sound will make the baby stop crying IMMEDIATELY (at least it works for Little Jared lar~)!!.. Apparently I read about this thru the forum long time ago but didn't really try it out till last weekend when I attended my cousin's wedding, my aunty told me about this interesting thingie so I decided to try it out for Jared when he's cranky. Indeed it was a quite try, he calms down immediately and stop crying after he hear the "sa sa" sound.. LOL~!

Yeap, he's wearing the complimentary T-shirt from Gleneagles when we received it during the delivery. Its sooo cute lor.. and it was actually nicely wrapped inside a box to us.

Finally after 1 week of waiting, Jared's personalised pillow case has arrived in our letterbox! The texture of the case doesn't seems to be very comfy and soft. Am thinking of not using the case as his "smelly pillow" liao. Sigh.. But the case still looks very cute with his name embroidered on.

Now that the pillow case has arrived, I'm still awaiting for the expensive playmat, the loots from OldNavy and the wall decals!! So excited.. hopefully I can received them before I return back to work in December.

I reckon I gonna spend money again! My Medela breast pump suction is getting weaker and weaker! Though its merely less than 2months of usage and it's still under warranty but what am I gonna do without a beast pump if I were to send it to the service centre? Sis-in-law was kind enough to pass me her Avent iSiS iQ Uno pump just now and it comes with a pack of new spare parts unopen! So nice of her... but I'm gonna return to her after I've try it for a few days though she said I can have it since she won't need it now as she'd already stopped breast feeding. Hmm, but due to inconvenience and hygiene issues, I think I better return her soon after I've tried it.

Called up Mothercare just now and checked their stock. Sad to say, they do not have the one that I want anymore and I'm unable to utilise my Mothercare voucher too. I think I gonna make a trip down to Takashimaya tomorrow and get it already. So troublesome lor~

Little Jared is growing very well and he's such a big boy now. Many had commented that he doesn't look like a less than 2mth old baby cause he's so alert and curious of his surroundings that make him looks more like a 3-4mth old baby! Hahaha...

He's drinking 110ml now but occasionally will fake cry for more even though he's already full!
He's waking up ONCE at night now and sometimes will drag his feeding to 4-5hrs instead of 3hrs which is a good thing cause Mummy and Grandma can sleep more.
He learnt to stick out his tongue more lately and reject pacifier most of the times.
He says ang guu-guu now repeatedly. (last week he only said ang guu)
He no longer clench his fists during bath time now. This proves that he's no longer afraid of getting wet.
He enjoys watching TV and sometimes will even ignore us when we call his name.
His fist is now his favorite drumstick.
His double eyelids has appeared and usually visible after he wakes up from his nap.
He stops crying when we play his favorite music/lullaby.
He knows how to "play" and speak his baby language to us now.

Overall, he's such a darling though he can be quite naughty at times when he struggles like a prawn when we carry him in our arms. But after some trial and error, we know understand that he loves to be carried upright on our shoulder cause he wanna look around his surroundings, which is of course good cause his neck is very steady now. Will be bringing him for his 6-in-1 vaccinations next week. I really hate to face the reality cause I know Jared gonna cry out loud when the needle pokes his pi pi.. and I will definitely cry together with him! How I wish babies need not go for vaccinations and yet being protected from virus/illnesses/bacterias etc.. My heart aches to see him cry lar.. Sigh~

And I'm so angry with COURTS @ Bt Timah. We bought the Sony VAIO laptop & HP 3-in-1 printer on Sunday but was told that the warranty cards are in the box already. Just because I f*cking trust what they said, so I never check. End up, the warranty cards are not inside the box after I reached home. I know Sony products can be registered online, but I want the physical card! Consumers sholud received a physical warranty card when they purchase something! Right? We were given several warranty cards when we bought the Sony BRAVIA & home theatre set the other time so what's the issue with COURTS now? Called up their customer service yesterday and the lady who picked up my call said that she'll get the sales personnel at the outlet to contact me by end of yesterday but I received nuts from them! Am gonna call them & chase after them later liao. Lousy service! Arghh...~

After Jared has his morning feed, I went back to sleep and end up waking up late at 11.20am! Today's my cousin wedding lunch at Habourfront and it supposed to commence at 12.30pm and I almost overslept. Was rushing like mad and did my make up only inside the car. Luckily, we managed to reach the place in time. Who knows, the lunch only started at about 1.30pm.. Duh!

The wedding lunch ended at about 3pm and we made our way home cause I was missing Jared sooo much. The sky then started to pour.. Hubby and I then went out after Jared had his feed. We went to COURTS @ Bukit Timah. My desktop has been giving me lotsa problems and I'm too lazy to get it fixed anyway. So Hubby bought me a Sony VAIO SR-12 laptop in pink.. and we upgraded the ram to 4gb.

Sony is selling the same model @ $2199 with free upgrade to 4gb ram but we got ours for only $2099 at COURTS. Good deal isn't it? We saved $100!! LOL.. Nonetheless, I bought a nice pink crystal mouse to match with my lappie & got a HP printer too. So happy now that I have 2 new gadgets! Am gonna dump my desktop PC real soon. Shall giveaway my 17"inch LCD monitor to my cousin in this case. Hehehe.. Will be sourcing for a nice lappie bag when I'm back to work in December. =)

I am feelin' damn guilty today cause I did not really spend much time with Jared. After his morning feed, I was out for the wedding lunch and only got to feed him when I came back from the wedding. Now that I'm back from my shopping, he's asleep. Sigh..
